Early last summer, I bought a quart of cherry water ice. When I arrived home, I decided to save it for the next day. So, being a Mensan, I knew just what to do. I stuck it in the refrigerator.
The next day, after a hard day at work, I was looking forward to some cherry water ice. When I opened the container, I found my mistake! I had a quart of cherry 'cold water'!
Being embarrassed at my stupidity, and not wanting anyone to find my mistake, I promptly shoved it into the freezer, where I should have placed it the first night. I was sure I corrected my mistake.
Well, the next night, after another hard day at work, I went into the freezer for some of my long-awaited cherry water ice. This time, on opening the container, I found I had . . . sure, enough . . . a one-quart block of cherry 'ice cube'!
Oh, well, even us Mensans can be absent-minded!
Being a Mensan doesn't mean we don't make mistakes! It just means we make them quicker and with more determination!
