The Penguin Flyer Restaurant in Andalusia was another of Standish Forde Hansell's unusual ideas. (See "Dinosaur Lake")

The restaurant was located on Bristol Pike (Rte 13) at the Philadelphia / Bucks Co. border and across Bristol Pike from the Red Lion Inn (which has since burned to the ground).

The Penguin Flyer was designed to look like a train entering a tunnel. It was another of Standish Hansell's "playful" ideas.

After being in operation through most of the 40's and 50's, it was demolished around 1957 and replaced by the Frankford Trust Bank which still stands.
