Ian Macauley
One of the victims of the Congressional Limited was found to be an unidentified little boy. He was unconscious when found so he was taken to a hospital for care. After examination, it was found that he suffered only a cut on the head.

Hours later, when the boy woke up in the hospital, he looked around at his unfamiliar surroundings. His first words were the question he would ask for the next few hours, "Where's my Mummie?"

But that was a question that nobody could answer.

Soon it was found that his name was Ian and he was 8 years old. But when asked his mother's name, he could only reply "She's Mummie. That's her only name I know."

He said that before the accident, he was sitting by his mother eating candy. "I wasn't scared, but I couldn't find Mummie".

Later, Ian remembered other names; his sister, his aunt, and another uncle. Through these names, Ian's mother was finally identified as one of the casualties of the wreck.

Marion Macauley was identified by a friend from New York City, Mrs. Barber. She identified a gold wedding band and a coral necklace that she herself gave Marion. Examination of a dental filling would prove her identity.

It was decided that Ian Macauley would be cared for by a friend of the family in New York.

But first, he was sent to spend some time with an uncle in Atlanta, Ga.
