There were so many unidentified victims of the Congressional Limited accident, it would take over five days to identify them all.

On Tuesday night, Sept, 7th, a three-person tumbling act from Massachusetts was supposed to perform in a show in New York City.

When they failed to appear, their manager was worried. He called their booking agent who soon discovered they had performed in Richmond, Va., on Sunday.

Worried they could have been aboard the Congressional Limited, they notified relatives of the three.

The relatives arrived at the Philadelphia morgue Thursday night and were saddened to identify the three young tumblers; Reed Merrick, 23; Josephine Di Pietro, 19; and Lorraine Menzies, 20.
