The murder of Candace Clothier, sat in the back of my mind for the last 35 years. We were attending the same high school when she disappeared.
I was in the 12th grade, and she was in the 11th, a year behind me, when she disappeared. I didn't know her personally, but I'm sure our paths crossed many times.
Her disappearance and murder affected the whole school. Students and faculty alike were shaken by the incident. It instilled in everyone, school-wide, how fragile and unsure life can be.
We were all caught up in the horror of the murder of a classmate. We felt as if something had been "stolen" from us. In a way, it had. Our "innocence" was gone.
Recently, I realized that I still knew nothing about this case. I decided to research it and to my surprise, I found that it's STILL UNSOLVED.
Now, here is the story of Candace Clothier.
