Bonnie Brae Park was a small amusement park in Chester County, Pa. It was located between Spring City and Phoenixville, along Rte 724, at Bonnie Brae Rd.

It opened in 1899 as a picnic grove.

That year, the Spring City Trolley began operations. The trolley traveled from Spring City to Phoenixville and one of its stops was the Bonnie Brae Amusement Park. The park was about 2 miles south of Spring City.

It began with swings, an arcade and pony rides. A few years later, pavilions were built to protect the picnicers from the sun and rain. Even later, a carousel was added.

In the mid-1920s, cars were becoming more popular and people could travel further distances for entertainment. Many local amusement parks closed in the late 20s and early 30s.

Bonnie Brae park was becoming less popular, and started to deteriorate. On July 8th, 1924, one of the trolleys was involved in an accident. This accident brought about the end of the Spring City trolley and also the end of Bonnie Brae Park.

It is said that the Ku Klux Klan purchased the property and used it for meetings, for about 20 years.

That's all we know about the park at this time.
